Balloon Bouquets

Imagine the joy and celebration that balloons may deliver to your loved ones. Call in your order to Best Party Planners before 10:00 AM. and have your balloon bouquet on its way that same day. We use only Qualatex and Anagram Balloons for best quality. Our balloons for delivery are treated with HI-FLOAT, an aqueous solution which is inserted in the balloons and dries up to form a barrier coating which helps hold in helium. This coating greatly increases the floating life of the balloon which without treatment is usually between 12-18 hours. We also place your balloon bouquet inside balloon bags for easy transporting and delivery. Ask us about our balloon centerpieces, columns, and arches for your next event.

FLOAT TIMES & PRECAUTIONS

1. FLOAT TIMES

Sun, wind, and are all threats to a balloon. Best Party Planner is unable to guarantee standard float times under the following conditions:

- Balloons used outdoors.
- Balloons used indoors, exposed to direct sunlight through windows.

The following standard float times apply to balloon-friendly indoor environments.

FLOAT TIMES FOR MYLAR BALLOONS

In optimum environments, mylar (foil) balloons will remain full and taught for 3-5 days. They will continue to float for two weeks or longer. Air-conditioned air may cause these balloons to shrivel, but they will return to a normal state when exposed to warmer air.

FLOAT TIMES FOR LATEX BALLOONS WITHOUT HI-FLOAT® TREATMENT

16-inch latex balloons will float indoors for 30-40 hours.
11-inch latex balloons will float indoors for 12-20 hours.
Float times may be reduced by as much as 60% at elevations above 2,500 feet.

HI-FLOAT™ TREATMENT

Latex balloons, used indoors and out of direct sunlight, will usually float for at least 3 days if treated with Hi-Float®, a non-toxic sealant which coats the inner wall of the balloon. Float time may be reduced significantly in unusually warm, unusually cool, or very humid environments, and at elevations above 2,500 feet.

Any bouquet or balloon which includes the letters HF in the product number include treatment with Hi-Float®. Bulk orders of plain latex balloons are offered with and without Hi-Float®, at varying rates.

2. DEFECTIVE BALLOONS

In cases where balloons appear defective, Best Party Planner will replace the balloons at no cost if the following conditions are met:

a) Customer advises Best Party Planner of the problem on the day the problem occurs.
b) The defective balloons are on site and available for pick-up when the replacement balloons arrive.

3. EFFECTS OF ELEVATION, SUNLIGHT, AIR CONDITIONING, AND WIND

On hot days, in direct sunlight, balloons may pop within an hour. The same result can occur indoors if balloons are exposed to direct sunlight through windows.

Very cool environments may cause helium molecules to shrink, reducing the size and float time of balloons.

A constant breeze passing around a balloon will increase the speed at which helium molecules escape through the wall of the balloon, resulting in reduced float time. Keep balloons away from air vents for maximum float time.

4. CEILING PRECAUTIONS

Static and invisible fibers on ceilings can cause balloons to pop. Allow your balloons to remain tied to an anchor for at least five hours before releasing them to the ceiling. This allows the balloons to shrink enough so that the skin becomes thicker and tougher. After five hours, take 2-3 balloons and rake them across the ceiling. If these do not pop, it should be safe to release additional balloons. If they do pop, allow additional time and run the test again.

5. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

A. Do not breathe helium from a balloon. Helium is not toxic nor flammable, but breathing it can result in asphyxiation (loss of consciousness due to insufficient oxygen).
B. Do not release mylar (foil) balloons outdoors. Power failures can result if these balloons become entangled in electric lines.
C. Popped latex balloons present a choking hazard for small children. Do not leave small children unaccompanied with latex balloons.

BALLOON SIZES

The noted dimensions of mylar balloons are their size uninflated, as designated by manufacturers. A mylar balloon with a noted size of 1 8 inches will be closer to 13 inches once inflated. This discrepancy is not as significant with larger mylar balloons. For example, a 28-inch mylar would typically be 24 inches at the widest point after inflation.

The dimensions of latex balloons is their inflated size. For example, an 11-inch latex balloon has an 11-inch diameter at the widest point.

DELIVERY POLICIES

Need to check up on your order?

Email: hello@bestpartyplanner.net
Phone: (954) 417-4627

1. RESIDENTIAL DELIVERIES

If the delivery is to a doorman building we will proceed under the assumption that someone will be available to accept the order. A doorman building is one with staff willing to accept deliveries for residents. This could be a doorman, a security guard, or someone in the management office.

For all other residential deliveries, we will call the residence and coordinate a delivery time which ensures that someone will be home to accept the order. This call may be made the day prior to delivery. If we are unable to reach someone by phone, we will leave a call-back number. As a general rule, we will not proceed until contact is made. If the call is returned late in the day, it may be necessary to reschedule the delivery for the following day. We will attempt to advise customers of delays related to their order. If it becomes apparent that we will not be able to complete a delivery because we are not successful in coordinating a delivery time, we will cancel and refund the order with no cancellation fee.

In very limited cases where phone contact has not been successful, the branch manager may exercise his or her authority to dispatch the order in hopes that someone will be there upon arrival. If no one answers the door the balloons may be left with a neighbor or placed in a secure area at the residence. In these cases we will advise the customer by email or phone, and advise the recipient with a phone message.

Because of the special effort required to complete most residential deliveries, it may not be possible to guarantee that the delivery remains a surprise to the recipient. If you require a surprise delivery, please call customer service to see if this service is possible with your order.

2. SCHOOL DELIVERIES - WE NEED PERMISSION

A giant bouquet of balloons being delivered to a student in class is a big disruption. For that reason, most schools require that all balloon deliveries be held for students at the front office. Unfortunately there are some schools that want no part of this fun and do not permit balloons on the property. Please call the school office for approval before placing your order.

3. HOTEL DELIVERIES (Personal Balloon Bouquets)

For security reasons we are unable to deliver balloons directly to the room of a guest. All hotel deliveries for guests are left with the concierge, the front desk, or the loading dock, depending on the hotel's policy. It is the customer's responsibility to contact the hotel and ensure that special requests related to their order are properly executed by the hotel. Once the balloons have been delivered to the hotel, Balloon Planet considers the delivery successfully completed. Because several hotel staff members can get involved in transferring the balloons from one part of the hotel to another, we accept no responsibility for balloons damaged during such transits.

For large event balloon decor we have more control than with individual balloon bouquets being delivered to hotel guests. The aforementioned policy DOES NOT apply to balloons being used for large special events. Please call for details.

4. DELIVERIES TO SECURE FACILITIES

In many high-rise office buildings and other facilities with restricted access, we are usually required to leave the balloons with a receptionist or security desk. We will attempt to advise the recipient that a delivery has been made and is waiting for pick-up.

5. HOSPITAL DELIVERIES

Hospital policies vary, and for that reason we are unable to guarantee that our staff will be able to make a delivery directly to the room of the patient. Most hospitals require that the balloons be dropped off at a security point and then delivered to the patient by the hospital staff. The staff may need to delay the delivery to the patient for any number of reasons.

HOSPITAL RESTRICTIONS

Latex balloons are banned from all hospitals due to latex allergy liability issues. Mylar (foil) balloons are usually acceptable. However, in some cases a particular patient may not be able to receive balloons. Customers should contact the hospital for approval before sending balloons to a patient.
